Timmy's reopens!

If you are, like me, someone who harbours a secret (or not-so-secret) passion for Tim Hortons doughnuts and felt deprived over the last several weeks as the franchise was overhauled you can now rest easy knowing that it's back in full swing! David F. Rooney photo

If you are, like me, someone who harbours a secret (or not-so-secret) passion for Tim Hortons doughnuts and felt deprived over the last several weeks as the franchise was overhauled, you can now rest easy knowing that it’s back in full swing!
The franchise at Victoria Road and the Trans-Canada had been closed for weeks as workers gutted it and replaced it with new flooring, machines, fixtures, furniture and even two gas fireplaces.
The restaurant reopened on Saturday, May 9. Here are a few images from their first hours:

The restaurant's main facility was closed for a couple of months as workers gutted it. Fir you needed a hit of coffee or one of their doughnuts, sandwiches or a box of Tim Bits you had to make do with a temporary facility by the drive-through lane. Until Saturday when people began to trickle in for one of the things that make their mornings worthwhile. David F. Rooney photo

Besides new tile floors and new furniture throughout the franchise the workers installed two gas-powered fireplaces that make it seem particularly homey. David F. Rooney photo
