Doug Hamilton, a retired gas station owner and former school board trustee, is currently languishing at Queen Victoria Hospital recuperating from a fall that left him with a broken hip.
“It’s all a little vague,” he said Wednesday afternoon, May 20. “I think I might have been getting out of the shower.”
This accident occurred last week (he’s not even sure which day it happened) and he was taken to QVH for assessment and then packed off by BC Ambulance to Vernon’s Jubilee Hospital. There he was sliced and diced, fixed up with a new hip and sent back to QVH to recover.
Always-gregarious and pretty active, Doug  is passing the time watching TV and would welcome visits from friends and acquaintances. He’s on the second floor at QVH in Room 2.
