At last! The affordable housing project gets underway!
Excavators and bobcats began clearing that portion of Bridge Creek Properties selected as Ground Zero for the Revelstoke Community Housing Society’s first major affordable housing project on Wednesday afternoon, May 27. The project is a 12-unit townhouse-style development that will see two-bedroom units rent for about $850/month and singles go for about $650. The long-awaited — and long-delayed — housing project just down Oscar Street from its intersection with Powerhouse Road is expected to be completed later this year.
