This weekend in Chase the Revelstoke Atom Grizzlies represented our community as the winners of the North Okanagan Super League Banner at the OMAHA Atom Super League District Championships.
They were accompanied by Logan Lake representing the Thompson Cariboo, West Kelowna representing the South Central, and Chase as the hosts.
Our boys opened strong with a 7-2 win over West Kelowna on Friday afternoon. Saturday morning they skated hard and held the undefeated in league play Logan Lake Blazers to a 3-3 tie.  Saturday afternoon saw them go on to a convincing win over the host team to give them 5 points in the round robin and earn a birth in the final Sunday against Logan Lake.
Sunday’s game was a thriller with our boys going out to a 3-0 lead before Logan Lake started to climb back into the game. The score was 4-3 Revelstoke when Logan Lake pulled their goalie for a final push that the boys weathered to win the District Championship.
This was an unexpected end to a wonderful season that saw this young group learn to really play a team game and sweep all three banners they could possible win as League, Playoff and District Champions.
Well done boys — and coaching staff — on a tremendous season.
