Erosion and Decay and Here, There and Everywhere deserve your attention
By David F. Rooney
The Visual Arts Centre has a couple of fantastic shows opening on Friday, March 6, from 6 pm until 9 pm.
Erosion and Decay is the title of a mother-daughter show in the main gallery. The titleĀ might sound a little iffy but the works by Patricia Crucil and her daughter Julia are drop-dead gorgeous. Patricia’s pieces are quilted hangings while Julia’s portion of the show is composed of large paintings of butterflies and moths.
In the side galleries is a lovely members’ show entitled Here, There and Everywhere. There are well over 60 paintings, drawings, ceramics and other pieces is the show and it is well worth seeing.
