Snow-stuck!

If you were attempting to drive along First Street West near Cooper's you doubtless encountered this tandem tractor-trailer unit that managed to block the intersection at Rokeby Avenue for a good 15 minutes because he could not negotiate the corner in the snow. If it hadn't been for the driver of this front-end loader he might still be there. The driver of that machine attached a chain to the snow-stuck unit and pulled him around the corner. Even so, diners at Emo's Restaurant had fun bettting on whether he'd make it. This is one more reason to wonder why units this large are allowed to drive on city streets. David F. Rooney photo
