It is with sadness that the Revelstoke RCMP announces to the community that Sergeant Kim Hall passed away Monday, January 12, after a brief medical emergency.
“Kim’s family was with her at the time of her passing,” Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky said in a brief statement released on Tuesday afternoon, January 13.
He later told The Current that Kim suffered a stroke while visiting in Sechelt.
Posted to the Revelstoke detachment in 2011, Kim graduated from training in 1990 and was posted to Terrace Detachment. From there she served in a number of postings throughout British Columbia, including Chilliwack, the Sunshine Coast, Boundary Detachment, Whistler and Stl’atl’lmx Mount Currie.
“She will be missed by those who knew her and worked with her,” Grabinsky said.
“A private service will be held in the coming week on the Sunshine Coast for family only. A memorial service will be organized in the summer in Kilarney, Manitoba. Further details will be provided by the family.”
