The Revelstoke Junior Grizzlies are selling their third jerseys in an online charity auction to support the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter and the KidSport organization.
The Women’s Shelter needs no introduction to Revelstokians. KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. You can find out more about it at www.kidsportcanada.ca.
The online charity auction will begin January 27 and run until the Grizzlies last home game February 14. All the information regarding the auction can be found on the Grizzlies website revelstokegrizzlies.com. Any questions regarding the auction can be answered by contacting:

All business, non-profit and community leaders are invited to attend the Revelstoke Business Centre Open House on Wednesday, January 28, from 11 am until 5 pm at 301 Victoria Road West.
Come visit with the Revelstoke Business Centre team, including staff from the Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Revelstoke, Community Futures and Community Economic Development.
“It is a great way to meet key preferred suppliers, get more information on Chamber member benefits and discounts and network with your peers,” said a statement from the Chamber. “It is also an opportunity to meet Mark Rossi, a coop student working on a business retention and expansion research project in Revelstoke.”
The Multicultural Society is seeking billets to host some of the members of the Li Jigeurs Méchif Cultural Group who will be participating in the Carousel of Nations on January 31.
These Metis dancers from Golden are always a hit with Carousel of Nations fans.
The society is seeking three billets for: two single women; an older couple; an elderly man.
“If you have a room to spare and would not mind sharing your home the night of January 31, would you please contact us?” asked the society’s BR Whalen in an e-mail received by The Revelstoke Current.
She also noted that the society needs a few more people to contribute one hour during the event or to help with clean up (7 pm to 8 pm).
If you can help, please email the society at email@example.com.
