Edward Jones has been making a solid impact on the local financial investment service sector since its inception here five years ago, says its local advisor, Chris Bostock.
“It’s been solid; that’s the best way to describe it,” he said in an interview at the firm’s new office at 218 Orton Avenue last week. “We’re keeping out clients happy and there’s still room for growth.”
Edward Jones directs its clients towards excellent investments.
“Our key market is the conservative, long term individual investor,” he said. Instead of being restricted to mutual funds and GICs, though, we’re able to build individual securities like bonds and equities into clients’ portfolios. I often find that clients feel more engaged knowing they hold shares of major companies that may they do business with, in their retirement or corporate portfolio. We stay away from fads, and stick to quality investments — the type that won’t make you rich overnight, but will help you build wealth over time.

Edward Jones is an international investment firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. While Bostock wouldn’t say how many clients it has here in Revelstoke or how much they have invested, he did say the company manages $840.6 billion in assets.
