Anything Goes 5 will contrast light and dark

The Visual Arts Centre is poised for one of its major fundraisers of the year — Anything Goes 5: Light and Dark.
More than 40 artists have created 12-inch-square canvasses on this theme for exhibition and a silent auction on Saturday, February 7 starting at 7 pm.
You can adopt the Light and Dark theme yourself by dressing in black and white and maybe even a little ‘light and sparkle.’
This is easily one of the most entertaining exhibitions of the year. Not only is the artwork top-notch, but there’s al competition to match the artworks to their artists. The patron who correctly matches the most names and works wins a terrific door prize.
This year’s fundraiser will also feature a live auction of art and a photo shoot with Keri Knapp.
The frosting on the cake, so to speak, will be a Parade of Modern Bakery Desserts.
You can join in the fun and help raise money for The Centre’s garden project by picking up tickets — they’re only $10 each — at either The Centre or the Art First Gallery downtown on Tuesday or Wednesday, February 3 and 4 between noon and 5 pm.
Tickets are limited so don’t delay.
