Christmas Greetings from the Premier

About 150 guests at Peter Bernacki’s annual Christmas Garage Party last Thursday, December 4, received a little surprise when, amidst the festive food and drink, they also heard holiday greetings from Premier Christy Clark.

It took a little doing. Peter, who is a vice-president of the BC Liberal Constituency Association, had received the message on his cellphone’s voice mail and wondered how to play it so all of his guests could hear it. Fortunately Mark McKee and Geoff Battersby proved themselves to be technologically capable of overcoming that hurdle. They played the message into a megaphone and broadcast it for the crowd.

“People were surprised and, I think, pretty pleased,” Peter said. “How often do you get a greeting from the Premier?”
