A little dark-hearted Christmas vandalism…

Three local businesses were struck with graffiti early Friday morning. According to local RCMP Staff Sgt.. Kurt Grabinsky all three businesses are located in the 100 block of Second Avenue, East and West. All three had extensive paint, pen or glass etching damage on the glass windows. Three local businesses were struck with graffiti early Friday morning.

According to local RCMP Staff Sgt.. Kurt Grabinsky all three businesses are located in the 100 block of Second Avenue, East and West. All three had extensive paint, pen or glass etching damage on the glass windows. The material used is acidic, resulting in the need to replace the glass at each location in order to remove the writing.

The vandal who committed these criminal acts tagged the word “raw dog” on the four damaged windows. This action has resulted in over $5,000 damage.

The Revelstoke RCMP are seeking assistance from the public. Any person with knowledge of this crime is asked to call the RCMP at 250-837-5255. Anonymous information can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
