To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends, colleagues and supporters for the many, many letters and messages of support and good wishes that I received during and after my recent suspension from the workplace at the City of Revelstoke, a suspension that was totally unnecessary and completely unwarranted. These letters, comments and messages were very much appreciated by my family and I during a difficult time. The support was also very humbling.
It has been a privilege for me to serve the citizens of this wonderful community for the past 12 years as Director of Community Economic Development. The most rewarding part of my job is to work with and provide assistance, in a small way, to the many businesses, organizations and individuals who, on a daily basis, strive to make Revelstoke a better place for all our residents. I look forward to working with the new Mayor and Council to provide further service to the community in the years to come.
A special thanks to several of you who have suggested that I will be lucky if my obituary looks this good!
Very sincerely,
Alan Mason,
Director of Community Economic Development,
Revelstoke and Area.
