The Hospital Auxiliary thrift store’s success is a win-win for the community and QVH

The Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday, October 16, with bags of bargains and cupcakes for all! Here are a few images from the group’s big day:

Bargain-happy shoppers certainly got their money's worth at the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop on Thursday, October 16, when they not only found lots of things on sale, but were offered, as was Dolores Prescott (left), a couple of cupcakes by Wendy Larson, Peter Zmaeff and Terry Southerland. All these smiling volunteers help make the Thrift Store's operations a win-win situation for both the community in general and Queen Victoria Hospital, which benefits from the hundreds of thousands of dollars the Hospital Auxiliary spends to purchase medical equipment for QVH. David F. Rooney photo
