Alas, Revelstoke! Our community is losing Emma Kirkland (right). The active, fun-loving former general manager of the Powder Springs Hotel has been tempted away from our cozy mountain town by a hotel chain in New Zealand. She’s leaving fairly soon so friends like Judy Goodman (right) gathered at The Cabin on Friday evening, October 17, for a farewell party. No one gets to leave town without some kind of memento so Judy arranged for the purchase of a small painting from ArtFirst! Emma’s expressions say it all, don;t they? You will be missed, Em! David F.
