Connie Brothers knew she was falling in love within days of moving to Revelstoke seven years and that love affair shows no sign of ending any time soon.

A lawyer, Connie has worked hard to build her practice and through Community Connections, of which she is a director, make the community even more livable. But her duties as a lawyer have shown there are real deficiencies in our Mountain Wonderland: Many young families that come here find it difficult to earn a living wage or make a go of it with a new business.

Connie thinks the current City Council is ignoring the influence it could exert if it wanted to improve the local economy or attract new families. She believes they have so much invested in acting as though everything is fine that they actually believe it. Whether that is true or not depends, in part, on whom you talk to.
