This woman is one of Canada’s smartest people — really!

Winnipeg singer-songwriter Cat Jahnke is smarter than you; but don't feel bad, she IS one of Canada's smartest people. Cat was selected out of thousands of applicants to participate on this season of CBC's, Canada's Smartest Person program, which airs every Sunday at 8 pm with Cat's episode airing on October 26. For over 10 years, Cat has built a loyal fan base across Canada, touring regularly and releasing 4 albums. And her hard work has been noticed, garnering her a nomination for Contemporary Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2011 and more recently, second place in the 2013 International Songwriting Competition. A musical chameleon, Cat is constantly reinventing herself: as a folk musician, a film composer, a video game character (in Daymare Cat, an online game played over a million times), and now as a reality show contestant. If you'd like to meet Cat in person to see her do what she does best, you can come see her perform at The Last Drop on October 9 at 10 pm.
