The Summer Reading Club ended with bang last month with the kids performing some skits for the audience at the medal ceremony/wind-up party on August 26.
“We were interrupted for 20 minutes by a fire alarm mishap then George Hopkins, who represents the Elks who give us $500 every year for the Summer Reading Club programs, handed out the medals to the SRC kids,” said Community Librarian Kendra Runnalls. Thanks to the Elks we were able to hire Anita Hallewas from the Revelstoke Theatre Company to teach the kids some acting skills.”
