Family and friends gathered with Mark McKee and his daughter Shannon van Goor as they held a changing of the guard ceremony at the Telus Store on Connaught Avenue on Tuesday morning, September 30. That’s when Shannon assumed full control of the business. Shannon had been half-owner of the shop for three years and was groomed to succeed. “I had to be approved by Telus,” she said, adding that not only did she have to show that she could run the franchise to the standards set by the company but she could demonstrate superior product knowledge and customer service.
