It is with great regret that Elvira Brunner and Daniel Weber announce the closure next month of their Crescendo store in Revelstoke.
Their lovely little store, located at 311 First Street West next to Mountain Meals, will be open until September 30.
“We would love to stay in Revelstoke but it is just too much,” they said in a statement. “It has been a grand experience in Revelstoke but since opening the store — now known as VOM FASS Oils Vinegars Spices — at the Mission Park Mall in Kelowna trying to grow both businesses is just too demanding.
“We are just exhausted and needed to make a choice. We had a great location, and have a great product and many loyal customers, we just can’t be up and down the highway, nor can we manage the store effectively from out of town. We are still in business and don’t want the public to think otherwise.”
Daniel, who has been travelling back and forth from Kelowna each week to oversee the Revelstoke operation said Revelstoke customers will still be able to purchase the oils and vinegars they prize through the online store at http://www.crescendocanada.com/store/.
“The web store online provides access to all our products and we will continue to participate in events in Revelstoke as we have in the past,” he said.
Revelstoke patrons are encouraged to subscribe to the monthly newsletter to be apprised of new locations where they can pick up the high-quality products they have learned to enjoy and trust. Ray’s Butcher Shop currently carries spice sets and Big Mountain Kitchen & Linen is considering adding our oils and vinegars to the pre-bottled items currently on the shelves in the store.
With September 30 set as the last day the store will be open, Elvira and Daniel encourage their patrons to hurry down and refill their oil and vinegar containers. Some larger bottles will be highly discounted if you don’t have a clean dry Crescendo bottle to refill.
“Don’t forget to use those gift certificates,” Elvira said, adding that “if you do forget, they will be honoured at the Kelowna shop.”
Daniel and Elvira thank Shelly Isfeld, their employee of three years, and all their customers for their loyalty.
“We came from Switzerland and we chose Revelstoke because it reminded us of home,” Elvira said. “We set up shop and felt welcomed by the community and patrons to the store. We thank them all. Get your basics now and stock up and save. Let us know if you want something and we will be sure to have it for you!”
