The Revelstoke Current has altered the format for Today, its local events calendar, which is accessible through the navigation bar on the top of the front page.
For the last few years, The Current has subscribed to the Chamber of Commerce’s events calendar. This meant that anyone who clicked on the Today tab saw the same calendar of events as appeared on the Chamber’s website. Additions to those listings made through The Current also appeared on the Chamber’s master calendar
However, the Chamber has recently abandoned that particular kind of calendar and is now using a new one that now looks like a normal RSS feed, which it basically is.
Current readers will see all of the events on posted by the Chamber although they will appear in that list-style RSS format, as opposed to a typical calendar format.
Readers and organizations that want to post their events on Today will have to go to the Chamber’s page to upload the details of their events.
