Singletrack Six Race winds up here next Thursday

July 31 marks the end of the inaugural Singletrack Six Race and the action will be all Revelstoke. from TransRockies Events

The Singletrack Six was born from the desire to showcase Western Canadian mountain bike communities, Singletrack 6 features a rider-built and maintained route that changes annually. This year’s race began on Saturday, July 26. Overall the event treats riders to the very best trails in Kananaskis, Nipika, Radium, Golden, and ending here in Revelstoke.

On the final day, Thursday, July 31, over 300 mountain bikers from 19 countries will get a taste of mountain biking in Revelstoke on the fantastic trails built and maintained by the Revelstoke Cycling Association. Riders will leave Grizzly Plaza and travel to Mount Macpherson for a 47-kilometre single-track circuit and a 1,200-metre elevation gain. Variety is the spice of life and this final stage will be like no other in the ST6 line up with technical uphill climbs and timed descents.

Revelstoke is quickly developing a reputation as one of North America’s top mountain bike destinations. Located on the banks of the Columbia River and surrounded by the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges, this town calls out to the two-wheeled traveler. SingleTrack 6 kicks off Revelstoke’s own biking celebration, in the Third Annual Bike Fest Revelstoke, happening July 31-August 4. Bike Fest touts a weekend of bike specific events, including group rides, kids’ events, a poker run, Ryan Leech demos, and the Mount Revelstoke Steamer hill climb.
