New shelter commemorated

Parks, Recreation and Culture Director Laurie Donato, Acting Mayor Tony Scarcella and Seniors Association President Ruth Boettger pose beside the plaque recognizing the improvements outside the Revelstoke Senior Citizens Association building. The addition of a new bus shelter and an attractive garden were part of an age-friendly project funded through the Seniors’ Housing and Support Initiative by the provincial government. The Senior Citizens Association also contributed financially to the project in memory of Ivy Hume. The project was completed earlier this year. Photo courtesy of Alan Mason/City of Revelstoke
