Mounties investigate after vandals attack the Golf Course

Vandals attacked at the Revelstoke Golf Club on Monday, July 7, kicking out golf cart windshields, ripping off seats and pouring sand into some of the carts’ fuel tanks.

A statement from RCMP Staff Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky said police were called to the scene at about 7:30 am.

“Video footage obtained in the area shows activity between the hours of midnight and 2 am and various items have been seized for forensic examination,” he said in the statement, adding that the damages caused by the vandals exceeded $5,000.

The Revelstoke RCMP is seeking any information regarding this incident. Calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and cash rewards are provided for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution of those responsible.

The public are also asked to contact the police whenever they observe or hear of suspicious behaviour.
