Mayor David Raven (left) snips the ribbon officially inaugurating the Big Eddy's revitalized playground at 1800 Griffiths Road on Wednesday morning. With His Worship are (from left to right): Parks, recreation and Culture Director Laurie Donato; Community Foundation director Tracy Spannier; Revelstoke Child Care Society Executive Director Linda Chell; and Revelstoke Credit Union representatives Barb Tetrault and Margie Dean. The organizations they represent were instrumental in securing the funding needed to rebuild this playground. Linda Chell noted that it was high time the neighbourhood received a new playground. "There are three child-care providers within a few blocks of here," she said, as a couple of dozen local children scrambled on the play structure. David F. Rooney photo
