Gamblin’ the night away

By David F. Rooney

Local Rotarians and their friends gambled the night away on Saturday in support of a great cause — helping purchase new children’s playground equipment for Kovach Park.

About 130 people attended the event at the Community Centre. The total raised will be known later this week. Here are a few photos from the event:

Zophie and Peter Humphreys were two of the 130 people who gambled the night away at the Rotary Club's Casino Night at the Community Centre on Saturday, May 3. The club's Graham Harper reports that the take is still being counted, but the night's earnings will go a very long way towards helping purchase new playground equipment for Kovachs Park. David F.
