Friends and neighbours have begun leaving flowers near the spot where Dean Pratico was fatally injured during an altercation with a younger man over speeding through the school zone on 9th Street last Friday, April 25. Despite an intense investigation no one has yet come forward as a witness to what actually happened between the 56-year-old Pratico and the 33-year-old man he confronted. Did anyone see what actually happened? If that is the case they should come forward and tell the authorities what they witnessed. In the meantime, perhaps small gestures and kindnesses such as these flowers will provide a small measure of comfort to Dean’s wife, child and other family members. David F. Rooney photo
