Students from the RSS Grade 9 – 12 art classes have put together a large exhibition of mostly marvellous images that go on public display and sale this Friday, May 9, at the Revelstoke Art Gallery.
There are about 170 images and three-dimensional objects in this show, entitled A Bit of Everything, from the students in Theresa Browning’s art class. While some of the images are what would you expect from teenagers — and that is not a put down, simply a statement of fact — many of them are remarkably mature and suggest that their creators could build real careers as artists, should they choose to do so.
Many of these works are on sale for remarkably little money so if you want to purchase an early work by a boy or girl who may (Who knows?) become a nationally or internationally known artist then you should attend the opening event at the Revelstoke Art Gallery at 320 Wilson on Friday, May 9 from 6 pm until 9 pm.
