Library shows the community’s new racism exhibit

Community Librarian Kendra Runnalls (left) and Assistant Librarian Lucie Bergeron were pleased to set up the brand new six-panel exhibit that discusses the history of racism in Revelstoke. Like all communities, Revelstoke's history had its dark underbelly of intolerance and discrimination. Much has changed over the last 50 years but we need to acknowledge the injustices of the past if we want to avoid repeating past mistakes. The exhibit was unveiled at the Multi-cultural Society's AGM on Wednesday. The public library is the first venue where it is open to the public. David F. Rooney photo
