In Pictures: Local kids’ artistic take on Earth Day

The North Columbia Environmental Society and Universal Footwear were proud to sponsor this year’s art contest in celebration of Earth Day.

The theme that elementary students from Grades K-7 represented in their art was this: What will Revelstoke look like in 20 years time as the Greenest Little City in BC?

Ideas included sustainable transportation (notice the dirigibles noted in a few of the pieces), local food, renewable energy, and conservation of green spaces and the flora and fauna within our city. Students did an outstanding job once again this year.  Over 350 students took part and the images below are the classroom winners for each class that entered. Well done kids!
