Theatre Company seeks submission ideas, directors for 2014-2015 season

Do you have an idea for a theatrical show or think you have what it takes to direct a play? If so, the Revelstoke Theatre Company wants to hear from you.

The acting company is now calling for show submissions for its 2014-2015 season.

“We are looking for directors and shows to produce in the coming theatre season,” it said in a statement issued on Monday, March 3.

“We also welcome submissions for directors without a show, or show ideas without a director. We will also accept submissions for actors, stage crew, technical or production team members. If you would like to be involved in any way, let us know.”

To submit proposals please complete the online form at http://www.revelstoketheatrecompany.org/call-for-submissions.html

The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 31.

Meanwhile, the Theatre Company has  announced that it’s next public performance, The Dumb Waiter by Harold Pinter, will be performed at the RSS Drama Studio on March 20-22 and March 27-29 at 8 pm.

Directed by Anita Hallewas, this one-act play written in 1957, involves two hired assassins holed-up in a dingy, disused rooming house basement  waiting to be sent out on their next killing. Thinking the house has been abandoned, things get complicated when they receive information from sources coming from other floors to send food orders up a dumb waiter. They bicker between themselves as their anxiety grows about the unknown victim.
