Do you have an idea for a theatrical show or think you have what it takes to direct a play? If so, the Revelstoke Theatre Company wants to hear from you.

The acting company is now calling for show submissions for its 2014/2015 season.

“We are looking for directors and shows to produce in the coming theatre season,” it said in a statement issued on Monday, March 3.

“We also welcome submissions for directors without a show, or show ideas without a director. We will also accept submissions for actors, stage crew, technical or production team members. If you would like to be involved in any way, let us know.”

The deadline for submissions is Monday, March 31.

Please save your bottles, cans and refundable items for the Grade 7 class of Columbia Park Elementary.

They’ll be scouring the City this Saturday, March 8, from 9 am – 2 pm in hopes of collecting monies toward their year-end trip to Sunnybrae Bible Camp for a host of fun activities.

The class wants to raise close to $3,000 and you can help by donating your recyclables!

The Revelstoke Figure Skating Club is celebrating Our Precious Planet during its annual exhibition of figure skating, to be held at the Forum on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 pm.

Folks who have seen some of the rehearsals say it will be quite a show.

Admission is by donation.

Ever woken up beside a stranger? Wonder if it was planned that way? The Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre presents the acclaimed one-woman, 14 character, theatrical tour de force DISSOLVE by Meghan Gardiner.

At turns hilarious and heartbreaking, DISSOLVE confronts the topic of drink spiking and drug-facilitated sexual assault. Responding to interest from schools and educators, this play has been touring colleges, universities and high schools throughout North America. DISSOLVE stars award winning actress, Emelia Gordon.

DISSOLVE is being performed at the RPAC on Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce or ArtFirst! downtown or you can click here to purchase them online.
