Drug and alcohol usage by local teenagers is always a subject of community concern and on Tuesday evening, February 25, Social Development Coordinator Jill Zacharias will reveal the results of her latest survey.
The survey, conducted last November, was completed by 85 per cent of local high school students. This is the second survey of its kind. The first was conducted in 2009.
“The survey covers a wide range of topics from personal substance use to how much RSS students know or have experienced about harms related to drugs and alcohol,” Zacharias .said in a statement “Has anything changed since 2009? As a parent, what should you most be concerned about? Really, how many students smoke pot? How many drink and party every weekend? In the last four years has anything changed?”
Zacharias will answer those questions and more during her 7 pm presentation at Revelstoke Secondary School.
