A snowboarding accident at Revelstoke Mountain Resort claimed the life of a 27-year-old man on Friday morning, January 10.
A statement from the Revelstoke RCMP said the young man was not from Revelstoke but did not identify him further, saying no identification will be released pending notification of his next of kin.
The incident is still under investigation, the statement said, adding that RMR and the RCMP caution everyone using the mountain to dress appropriately, wear a helmet and always ski or board with a friend or with someone who is familiar with the terrain.
