The CPR Holiday Train will be here Friday and you can bid to ride it to Sicamous!

The CPR Holiday Train is set to roll into town on Friday, December 13, with everyone’s favourite elf, who is being accompanied by musicians Melanie Doane and Matt Dusk to perform during its annual stop in Revelstoke.

This year’s train stops in Revelstoke at 3 pm and, for once, the temperature will be relatively mild — 1° to -3° Celsius. But even if it gets a little colder than that there will be fires to warm your hands and feet, hot chocolate, hot dogs and more.

This is a terrific family event and everyone in town is invited to attend. This is a major fund-raiser for the Community Connections Food Bank, so come with a donation!

And if you’re a real dyed-in-the-wool Holiday Train fan you can bid to ride the train from Revelstoke to Sicamous in a novel fundraiser for the Railway Museum.

You can send your bid to railway@telus.net  before 5 pm on Thursday, December 12. The highest bidder will win one set of 4 tickets to ride the Holiday Train from Revelstoke to Sicamous when it leaves town on Friday, December 13.

Speaking of the Railway Museum it is open to the public during this holiday season, December 11 – 21 from 11 am until 4 pm and December 27 – 29 and January 2 – 4 from 11 am until 4 pm.

For more information please call the museum at 250-837-6060 or visit www.railwaymuseum.com.
