The CPR’s annual Holiday Train has established itself as a very welcome and thoroughly enjoyable Christmas tradition in communities right across the country. This year’s train was all of that and more as it included a real surprise for Patti Larson, the Food Bank and Christmas Hamper Depot coordinator!

But that’s what happened when the CPR’s mark Jackson handed here this over-sized cheque for $13,000 — more than four times what the Community Connections Food Bank normally receives. “I couldn’t believe it,” she said later. “I just didn’t know what to say.” After a couple of false starts, though, Patti managed some very profuse thank-yous.
