Community Christmas Dinner needs volunteers. Can you help?

It’s that time of year again and the folks who stage the annual Community Christmas Dinner are in need of volunteers to work in the kitchen Christmas morning at the Frontier Family Restaurant.

This is the 19th year that this local tradition has been held by local men and women. The Christmas Dinner is free and is open to families and individuals who find themselves alone on Christmas Day. And you don’t have to be a local resident to participate. Travellers are welcome to pull over and enjoy the dinner.

It will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm at the Frontier Family Restaurant at the junction of the Trans Canada Highway with Highway 23N.

Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, salads and more are on offer at this event. But nothing gets done without the vital contribution of volunteers.

If you are able to peel, chop, take charge of preparing one of the main items on the menu or wash dishes please call Ginger Shoji at 250-837-4129 or at 250-837-4101.

Transportation is also available for volunteers.

This dinner is made possible through generous contributions from individuals and members of the Revelstoke Business Community.
