Meet the Fire Chiefs for a day!

Summer Novakowski of Columbia Park Elementary school and Rider Stockman of Begbie View Elementary School possw with Fire Chief Rob Girard after winning this year's Fire Chief for a Day Contest. Summer and Rider’s fire safety posters, illustrating their knowledge and understanding of kitchen fire safety, were chosen from among 124 submissions by loical school children. The two kids were picked up at school on Monday, November 4, in Fire Engine No. 1 and spent the afternoon as the City's Fire Chiefs. Fire Chiefs Novakowski and Stockman received a tour of the fire hall, fire truck rides, prize packages and participated in fire department activities.
