Isn’t this a gorgeous bus shelter! Why can’t they all be like this?

Here's one of the nicest looking new structures in town – the new bus shelter outside the Seniors' Centre. Designed and built locally by Nathan Rebbetoy (left on top of the shelter with helper Don Frederics. With any luck the City's existing and so-bland-they-re-monumentally-ugly metal bus shelters will eventually be replaced by others like this one. Projects such as this show what local residents with excellent ideas and a sense of style can produce. This is not only practical it's really quite lovely. And I'll say it again: it's locally designed and produced. David F. Rooney photo
