The sixth art show of the 2013 season at Studio Connexion Gallery in Nakusp is entitled Blueberries & Bolts and shows work by local artists Holly Woods and Denyse Marshall. This series is based on colours and forms that you see in everyday things and reflects their shared love of still life and landscape. Both artists were active members of the ALFA Guild and have previously organized shows for other artists.
A statement from the gallery said the Blueberries & Bolts exhibition is comprised of watercolours and other paintings. The artwork will be of interest not only to collectors but art enthusiasts in general. The series was created for Studio Connexion Gallery and owner Anne Beliveau said she is proud to present it from September 3 – 21.
An opening reception for this exhibition is to be held on Friday, September 6 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Refreshments will be served.
Studio Connexion is a small independent gallery located at 203 Fifth Avenue in downtown Nakusp.It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm. Private viewings can also be arranged by calling Anne Beliveau at 250-265-8888.
