The fifth show of the season at Nakusp’s Studio Connexion Gallery is a collaboration between Vancouver Island artists Don Cunningham and Madeleine Wood entitled From the Ground Up. This project is based on their garden, and juxtaposes their unique processes and perspectives. Don is a fine furniture maker and painter and was Nakusp’ s Secondary School Art & Drama teacher for many years. Madeleine is an accomplished visual artist who has exhibited her work for over 20 years. You can see more of her work at www.madeleinewood.com.
Don and Madeleine’ s paintings will be of interest not only to art collectors who love still lifes and abstracts, but to art enthusiasts in general. This particular new series was created specifically for Studio Connexion Gallery.
From the Ground Up runs from August 9 to August 31.
