Kettle Valley Brakemen to kick off Railway Days on Friday, August 16

All aboard for railway history and musical fun as The Kettle Valley Brakemen entertain at the Revelstoke Railway Museum during Railway Days. The overall-clad Brakemen tell true stories about BC's colourful steam-rail history and follow each story with an original song. "We have a couple of songs with a Revelstoke connection," says head Brakeman Jack Godwin. "’The Flat Creek Wreck’ is about a derailment that happened near here in the 1970s. Another audience favourite is ‘CPR Strawberries’ a tune that was inspired by my conversation with a retired Revelstoke railwayman a couple of years ago. Our shows feature hot folk/bluegrass music and lots of humor in both stories and songs. We're really looking forward to appearing at Railway Days." The Kettle Valley Brakemen will perform three concerts at the Railway Museum with one on Friday evening beginning at 6 pm and two shows on Saturday starting at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. TheKettle Valley Brakemen bring to life a period of our history in song and music, a fantastic way of learning about our Heritage.
