The driver of a west-bound passenger vehicle who was killed when he collided with an east-bound semi on Sunday was a 34-year-old Revelstoke man, police said early Monday morning.
They did not release his name but said the cause of the accident, which occurred about eight kilometers west of town at 8:10 am on Sunday, July 7, is still under investigation.
RCMP Cpl. Thomas Blakney said in a statement that the driver was alone in the car. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The Trans-Canada was closed as officers from the South East District Traffic Service investigated the accident.
