Chowing down to help the Hunts 2013-07-29Public Service Alliance of Canada members who work for Parks Canada held a BBQ outside the Rogers Pass Centre to raise money for the Hunt family on Parks Day, which was July 20. “The team sold burgers, hot dogs and cold beverages as well dog biscuits (for our furry friends),” said Jacolyn Daniluck told The Current.” The event was also supported by the Revelstoke Canine Search and Rescue. Staff came by for a burger during their lunch break and many generously gave a donation along with their purchase.” All told, the event raised $500 to help the Habitat for Humanity and Revelstoke Community Housing Society effort to renovate Simon and Pauline Hunt’s house to accommodate Pauline’s needs. Pauline has ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease and requires wheelchair-accessible space in their small house.
