Telus investing $550,000 in its Revelstoke infrastructure

Telus is investing $550,000 in Revelstoke to expand wireless and wired broadband infrastructure for community residents and businesses, it said in a letter to Mayor David Raven and City Council.

“This significant investment is part of a $3 billion, three-year commitment to invest in B.C. made last year and builds upon the $29 billion Telus has already invested in operations and technology throughout the province since 2000,” Maureen Kirkbride, Telus’ director of local government relations, said in the letter, dates June 6. “By the end of this year, TELUS will have invested $4 million in new technology and infrastructure in Revelstoke since 2009.”

Kirkbride also noted that Telus has donated $136,000 to 79 charities in this region, including the Community Connections Food Bank and the  Revelstoke Ski Club. They will be donating an additional $20,000 to charity later this year.
