Helping make a wish come true

Rhenna Secord and her mom, Tanya, were at Cooper's on Friday promoting the Selkirk Saddle Club's very first Wish Ride on June 15. This is the very first time the club has participated in the Provincial Trail Ride in support of the Children's Wish Foundation, BC & Yukon Chapter. Since its inception 17 years ago, the Provincial Trail Rides across BC have raised over $900,000 to make dreams come true for children diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. On behalf of the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, our heartfelt thanks to all of the ride coordinators, sponsors, donors and participants of the 2012 BC Provincial Trail Ride. Your efforts allow us to continue granting exceptional wishes to very special children. You can find out more by going to www.wishtrailride.ca. David F. Rooney photo
