Corporate good citizenship at its best

Friday was a pretty big day for Pauline Hunt, seated with her daughters Emily (left) and Madeline (right) as Royal Bank of Canada Manager Lyne Welock (left) and Senior Account Manager Karen Ball visited her Sixth Street East home to hand a $10,000 cheque from the RBC Foundation to Geoff Battersby and Peter Bernacki of the Revelstoke Community Housing Society. The society is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to renovate Pauline's home to the tune of $200,000. Pauling has Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. The renovations will make their small house wheelchair accessible and provide a little more space. "RBC and the Revelstoke Branch are passionate about helping our community," Lyne said. Giving back to our community is an important focus for us and we are happy to support this very special project for the Hunt Family. It truly truly is impressive how the community has come together for this family and the RBC and I are proud to play a small part in it."
