Begbie View Elementary School has had three different principals in just one school year and Mr. Woodhurst is currently holding the position. He was kind enough to sit down with me and allow me to interview him and I have found out many incredible things about him. One especially interesting fact is that he does not live in Revelstoke but lives in Salmon Arm. He drives back and forth every day. Mr. Woodhurst has gone on many journeys and has recently gone to Ghana to help build a school. This was a project that he did with the organization “Me to We”.
Although he has been on many vacations his dream vacation would be to relax on a sandy beach on a small island in Thailand with his wife. Another interesting fact about him is that as a child he wanted to be a jet fighter pilot and still does. Begbie View Elementary is lucky to have such a wonderful and exciting principal.
