A 79-year-old local man was found dead in his vehicle, which was parked with the engine running in the 400 block of First Street West on Thursday afternoon.
Despite extensive effort, emergency personnel were unable to revive the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The exact cause of the man;s death is not known at this time but the RCMP do not feel this death is of a suspicious nature,” Cpl. Thomas Blakney said in a statement. “The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.”
