April 18 date for singer/songwriter Craig Cardiff

Singer/songwriter Craid Cardiff comes to Revelstoke after receiving some big accolades in 2012. He was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award as 2012 Contemporary Singer of the Year for his latest release, Floods and Fires, an album that was also recognized with a 2012 Juno Award nomination as Roots and Traditional Album of the Year: Solo. The title Floods and Fires alludes to Biblical plagues which bring both destruction and opportunity. The album’s 14 tracks examine love and love’s leaving, celebrate parenthood and, ultimately, explore the balance between heartbreak and joy. Cardiff, who is currently working on a new album, will perform songs from Floods and Fires and many of his previous releases Thursday, April 18 at The Big Eddy Pub in Revelstoke at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door and can be purchased online at www.craigcardiff.com or in person at The Big Eddy Pub & Liqueur Store, Talisman, The Village Idiot, and Benoit's Wine Bar.
